Romantic ancient town of Civita di Bagnoregio and Wine tasting

For many centuries it was feared that we would lose this jewel …

english-speaking driver will pick you up at your hotel in Rome and whisk you away from the chaos of the city

An excursion involving the five senses through the charming medieval village of Civita di Bagnoregio, whose poetic name, “the dying town” reveals the geological nature of this site.  Indeed, the tufa rock on top of which the village was built is gradually crumbling. Throughout the centuries, Civita di Bagnoregio has been a crossroads of art and tradition, with treasures that are jealously-kept, as if the town itself was a jewel box

Tasting-lunch of local produce at a typical “bruschetteria” (bruschetta is a grilled bread seasoned with olive oil and salt) in the village.    (Appetizers, grilled meat, side-dish, cake - drinks are all included)

Guided tour of an “artist’s backyard” ...
"Il Giardino della Serpara" where fountains and metal sculptures can be found among magnolia and oak trees,
peony bushes and lotus flowers from all around the world.

Wine tasting and a tour of a local winery... from the areas where grapes are processed to the humid cellars and “ancient walls and every young passion;” where the wines that will be served to you have been resting and aging for a very long time
